Homecoming

I think this has got to be my favorite picture of Sarah. It's the only one I have where she looks a little bit like me. She was nine years old then. Now she is fifteen, and talking constantly about how she can't wait to get a job and her learners permit. My baby is growing up.

This weekend is just another example of her success in opening up the shell she has spent so many years hiding in. The homecoming dance is coming up and she told me she wanted to go. My mother and I are taking her shopping later in the week for her dress, and on the day of the dance she's getting her hair and makeup done. I think this is a HUGE step for her!

So the countdown begins to the big night for both of us. :-)

Allow me to introduce myself. I am Dorothy, but you can call me Dj or Deej, whatever suits you. Just don't call me DOT. I love to blog. I don't do it as often as I used to but there are times where something pops up that I just have to talk about it, so I blog. I don't do it to be popular with all the other bloggers, and I don't care if this is read by the public or not. I'm not doing it for them. I do it for me. I kept a blog on yahoo 360 but they shut that down and now have a stupid setup for yahoo. You can however, read my blog posts - all the way back to 2005 at my RSS feed.

I'll tell you my story, but it will have to be done in different entries. So if you are wondering what type of blog this is, I'll tell you and then you decide if you want to follow it or not.
